Metallic Purple Sugar Flowers

This was a cake I made for a small wedding reception. The cake is our signature vanilla butter cake (yes, made with 100% real butter :-) with berry cream cheese filling. It's then covered with our handmade premium white chocolate rolled fondant and then decorated with our handcrafted sugar flowers. We airbrushed the flowers a with various shades of metallic purple.

I thought it turned out pretty and I got a very positive response from the bride herself! Yay :-)

Surprise Louis Vuitton Purse Cake for Stacie

Leon called me last week and wanted my to make a Louis Vuitton Purse Cake for his special girlfriend Stacie. Here is the finished cake upon delivery and just to note, this is a chocoholics dream, it's chocolate fudge butter cake with mocha dark chocolate ganache and chocolate buttercream, then it’s covered with my handmade rich chocolate fondant (all natural fondant, nothing artificial) I am expecting she'll love it! Can’t wait to get the report!!! :-)

Summer Buttercream Cakes

Here are a few recent cakes.... I created a small buttercream cake with
some simple Luau elements for Kim's home wedding. The bottom was banana cake with berry cream cheese filling and the top was coconut cake with lime buttercream filling.

Also, here is a cake I created for Jennifer, who was graduating with her PhD in Education from The University of Denver last week. I got a nice email from her telling me how everyone loved the cake. It was coconut cake with fresh lime curd filling (our lime curd is SOOOO yummy). I sugared the limes and put them in the middle. It's covered in coconut buttercream with fresh coconut shavings impacted on the sides.

The event was outside at The Boathouse in Washington Park (a beautiful area by the by) and it just happened to be quite literally PERFECT weather (not too hot with a breeze), so you know I was happy that I knew the cake would hold up, lol! It was planned by Michelle at www.dramaticevents.net and she did a fantastic job.

Thanks again and here's the cake.....
